This stylish caddy will be the envy of your quilting friends. Each side of the caddy will hold 18-20 or even more blocks depending upon the size of the blocks that you are storing in your caddy. Stitch a purchased black mesh pocket onto the outside of the caddy to hold your thread, needles, scissors and other quilting supplies. Or make a pocket from the instructions included in the pattern. Pre-quilted fabric will allow you to complete the caddy in 4 hours or less.

The pattern for the block caddy includes three sizes.

12” caddy will hold blocks up to 10” square
15” caddy will hold blocks up to 13” square
18” caddy will hold blocks up to 16” square

The caddy has several unique features including:

  • An Internal structure based upon foam boards available at your nearest craft store.
  • Either a purchased black mesh pocket or a self-made pocket adorning the exterior.
  • Expandable interior pockets.
  • Expandable interior flaps.
  • Interior flaps which open onto the opposite side of the caddy rather than into your neighborÕs space.
  • Interior pockets which are secured on two sides to prevent slippage.
  • Velcro tabs which hold pockets and flaps securely in place.

Pattern includes instructions for 3 sizes each with a self-made pocket or a purchased pocket.

Pattern includes yardage and material requirements, instructions for 12Ó, 15Ó and 18Ó caddies including exterior pockets made with a purchased zipper. (Pattern for the stamp basket blocks shown on the interior views of the caddy is not included in the pattern for the block caddy.)
