May 15, 2017

Dear Quilter,

You may recall that last month I explained that we were going to be very, very busy during May and June.  We are in the middle of it.  We have had two trips to Maple Grove, MN and one to Chicago and it is only the 15th of the month.  There is more yet to come.
I share this with you so that you will understand why this newsletter is so short.  I just don't have time to write this month.

Check out the row at the top of this newsletter.  This is the lyrical row in Ann's Lyrical Christmas quilt.  You will be receiving this pattern free in my July, 2017 newsletter.
I have started my next free
BOM that will begin January 15, 2018.  It will be called Connie Sue's Sketchbook and will feature 6" squares - all appliqued.  There will not be a theme to the designs - just whatever pops into my head - hence the name "Connie Sue's Sketchbook".  The designs may not be related but the quilt will be cohesive through the fabrics I'll be using.  I'm using Kim Diehl fabrics from several of her collections including "Sunday Best", "Welcome Wagon", and "Heritage Hollow".  I'll tell you more about it in the coming months.

New England Here We Come

Jerry and I have decided to visit our New England states in the fall of 2018.  Twenty-two years ago we made it as close as up-state New York.  This time we hope to visit all of these historical states.  We will be traveling between 8/15/18 and 10/13/18.
I would like to give trunk shows and workshops on this trip.  I have prepared a PDF file that describes the workshops that I offer.
If your guild would be interested in having a trunk show and a workshop please let me know.  My e-mail address is:
Please include in the e-mail the following:

        1. Guild name
        2. City, State of meeting
        3. Date of meeting (ex: second Monday of month)
        4. Number of members in club
        5. Contact person for club (if not you)

I'll then send you the PDF file of information by return e-mail.  I hope to hear from you,

Well, that's going to be it for this newsletter.  Next month's newsletter (June) will be just as sparse.   But hold on to your quilting, July will be a whopper of a newsletter.  It will include the pattern for the free row shown above and at least one new quilting tip.  And if I have the time I'll have a new pattern for you as well.  Until then...

Happy Appliqueing
Connie Sue
