|Apple Blossom Quilts Newsletter|
I'm pleased to announce that I have added a new class to my repertoire. Sculpted applique is both lovely and exciting. "Kay's Circle of Beauty" is a wonderful example. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
|Just a reminder to those who are following along with my current, free BOM called "Connie Sue's Sketchbook", that I would love to see a photo of a block you have made from one of these patterns. I have received many "thank you's" from you for providing these blocks to you, but the nicest thank you of all would be to see a finished block or two.|
|Iowa Quilters Guild|
| On July 20, I was honored to present a trunk show/workshop for the Iowa Quilters Guild. We meet in Jefferson, Iowa where I taught a class on "Kay's Circle of Beauty". Though a small group, they were a very attentive group.
A big thanks to Jennifer Bernard for inviting me.
|Lesson 8 - Outer Points|
|"Outer Points" cause the hands of many appliquérs to sweat and their hearts to race. If you are one of these appliquérs then this lesson is for you. It is a technique that I have developed over years of teaching beginners. If you are comfortable holding a needle, then there is a very good chance you will make a perfect point the first time. Even if you don't you will probably understand why your point isn't perfect and can correct it the next time you make a point. Let me know how you do. I would love to hear from you.||Click here to download Lesson 8.
